I H KLEINFELDER & ASSOCIATES
No readings above background were recorded for the air around or above
• any of the soil piles.
SOIL SAMPLE ELE TION AND CHEM AL ANALILE1
Two soil samples were collected from the soil pales for chemical
analyses. Soil sample S-01 was collected from the pile with a PID field
screening of 60 ppmv and soil sample 5-02 was collected from the soil pile
with the highest PID reading of 190 ppmv. The samples were analyzed for
volatile aromatics and total petroleum hydrocarbons.
The locations of the soil samples collected for field screening and those
selected for chemical analysis are shown on Plate 3. The analytical
results for 5-01 and 5-02 are presented on the California Water Labs, Inc.
data sheets.
GROUND -WATER MONITORING WELLS
Three ground water monitoring wells were installed at the site on March 2,
1986. The wells were developed and sampled on March 3, 1986. Three water
samples were submitted to California Analytical Laboratories in West
Sacramento to be analyzed for volatile aromatics and total petroleum
hydrocarbons (BTX) . The analytical results will be forwarded to you as
soon as they are received.
We would appreciate your review of the analytical results so that the
. client may remove and dispose of the soil in an appropriate manner.
