(Waste Science) is pleased to submit the <br /> enclosed Report of Waste Discharge for the Stockton Service Center on <br /> behalf of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (District) . The $1000 <br /> filing fee is also included. Please review the Report of Waste Discharge <br /> and determine whether the conditions of the General Order are satisfied. <br /> The Report of Waste Discharge is provided as Appendix D to the Remedial <br /> Action Plan for the Stockton Service Center. The Remedial Action, Plan is <br /> Addendum No. l to the Additional Site Assessment and Remedial Options <br /> Report. The Additional Site Assessment and Remedial Options Report has <br /> been provided to assist. in your review of the Report of Waste Discharge. <br /> I <br /> The Stockton Service Center is a former underground storage tank site at <br /> which petroleum hydrocarbons have been detected in the groundwater beneath <br /> the site. Bioremediation has been selected as the remedial alternative for j <br /> the site. In previous telephone conversations, you expressed some concern j <br /> about residual nitrogen concentrations in the re-injected water. In <br /> response to these concerns, Waste Science ,has performed a bench-scale test <br /> to determine residual nitrogen concentrations in the water treated by the <br /> selected bioremediation process. The results of this test are expected <br /> this week and have not been included in this Report of Waste Discharge. <br /> The results will be forwarded to you this week .along with details on a <br /> r <br /> nitrogen removal system if necessary. <br />
