(Waste Science) is pleased to submit the
enclosed Report of Waste Discharge for the Stockton Service Center on
behalf of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (District) . The $1000
filing fee is also included. The Remedial Action, Plan is
Addendum No. l to the Additional Site Assessment and Remedial Options
Report. The Additional Site Assessment and Remedial Options Report has
been provided to assist. in your review of the Report of Waste Discharge.
I
The Stockton Service Center is a former underground storage tank site at
which petroleum hydrocarbons have been detected in the groundwater beneath
the site. Bioremediation has been selected as the remedial alternative for j
the site. In previous telephone conversations, you expressed some concern j
about residual nitrogen concentrations in the re-injected water. In
response to these concerns, Waste Science ,has performed a bench-scale test
to determine residual nitrogen concentrations in the water treated by the
selected bioremediation process. The results of this test are expected
this week and have not been included in this Report of Waste Discharge.
The results will be forwarded to you this week .along with details on a
r
nitrogen removal system if necessary.
