The regional groundwater is re
ported to flow towards the northwest. Local
Pumping wells, recharge areas, or other artificial gradient influences may be the
cause of the local southwesterly flow direction. The tidal fluctuations of the Stockton
Deep Water Channel have little influence on the groundwater beneath the Stockton
Service Center and appear to have no effect on the groundwater gradient or flow
direction at the site.
A step drawdown test conducted by Black & Veatch in March 1995 yielded
transmissivity values ranging from 15 z
. g g to 35 square feet per day (ft /day) which
provide for a calculated effective porosity value of 0.25. Using the conservative
{ transmissivity value of 15 ft2/day, the aquifer is capable of sustaining a pumping rate
P g
of approximately 2.5 gallons per minute.
U
i -
k
ff J
V
E
LY
i
j
I
C
L
9687 East Bay Municipal Utility District
L) 40429700.fcr 3 Final Closure Report
