Ir PCLYMATRIX
ASSOCIATES
191 HARDER ROAD SUITE 25
HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA 94544
4151582-1641
Universal Engineers Incorporated August 18, 1987
610 Industrial Way Project# 069
Benicia, CA 94510 UE Job No. 2929
Revision# 1
Attention- Richard Camacho
Subject- Analytical results for soil samples collected at 1804 W. Main St.
Stockton, CA. EDNIUD Corpoi-ation Yard.
Dear Mr. Camacho
Analytical results are complete for the samples referenced above. The
samples were analyzed to measure the concentration of various chemical
constituents. The analytical procedures used to measure these constiuents
are based on applicable U.S. Environmental Protection Agency methods.
Included in this report is a brief description of field procedures, a
table of results and an appendix providing laboratory certification infor-
mation.
Field Procedures On July 27,1987 Fred Davis of PolyMatrix Associates, at
the request of Universal Engineers, collected two (2) soil samples following
a diesel tank removal . On July 29,1987 two (2) soil samples were also collected
following the removal of a gasoline tank on July 27,1987 and the boring of samp—
_.,ng holes in a cement caldron on July 29,1987. The cement caldron held the gas—
oline tank in place. The samples were collected using a hand—driven modified
shelby tube with brass liners. Once the samples were extracted from the areas
of concern, the brass liner open ends were covered with aluminum foil and sealed
with PVC tape. All samples were immediately labeled and recorded on chain—of--
custody forms. Samples were then placed on -ice (4'C) for transportation to the
laboratory.
Analytical Results- The table attached lists the samples, parameters and their
perspective concentrations. The analyses were performed by ANATEC Laboratories
of Santa Rosa, Certification #178, except the EDB tests. The EDB analyses were
performed by Curtis & Tompkins Laboratory of San Francisco, Certification ##159.
If you have any questions regarding this revision, please feel free to call
me at your convenience.
Thank You.
7, C _Oc,
Fred Davis
Polyr4atrix Associates
