On September 16, 1992 prior to conducting the third quarter sampling, monitor wells MW-5 and
MW-6 were cleaned and redeveloped in order to prepare them for future groundwater sampling
' These wells had been covered with asphalt during repaving of the Stockton Center yard and
some of the asphalt had seeped into the well heads and well casings. A stiff bristle brush was
used to scrub the well casings and approximately 15 well volumes of water were removed from
each well
On October 14, 1992, the drums of purge water and soil residuals onsite from past sampling
' activities were disposed The water was released to a sanitary sewer drain with permission from
the City of Stockton Municipal Utilities Department (MUD). The chemical concentrations in
the purge water were; well within the MUD criteria for discharge to the sanitary sewer and no
' permit was required The San Joaquin County Air Quality Control Board (SJCAQCB) was
contacted regarding emissions criteria and permit requirements to discharge the soil residuals
onsite The constituent concentrations in the soil were well within the SJCAQCB criteria and
' the soil was disbursed on the ground surface in an area designated by EBMUD
1
I
I I
i 1
1
i
51 c\XPPS1EBMUD3RD WP A 3 >>M&90
1
