Srr
W,. 16 September 1996
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0168
LW
• Approximately 200 cubic yards of impacted soil is presently stockpiled on-site. Based on
I 6 analytical results of soil samples collected on 17 August 1995,most of the soil contains only
trace concentrations of hydrocarbons, although locally the soil still contained high BTE&X.
concentrations (S.M,2).
v.
• The stockpiled soil is presently undergoing aeration under permit by the San Joaquin County
Unified Air pollution Control District. It is our understanding that the soil will remain on-site
for use as fill material. A copy-of the uncontrolled soil aeration, permit is included in
Appendix G.
4.2. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon information collected during the investigation of the former UST area, AGE
recommends the following:
• Soil stockpile 2 should be considered as "clean" and used for fill.
LM Soil stockpile 1 should continue to be aerated until the hydrocarbon concentrations in soil -
samples are reduced to acceptable levels for the soil to be used as fill. -
• The site should be certified for closure with no further investigation/remediation required.
5.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were perfonned using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
LW environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based.upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are.made from a limited number of
available data points (i.e. soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data
points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations
contained in this report.
LM
6W
.E ,
