The analytical detection limits shall be 0.005 ppm (mg/kg) for <br /> BTEX and 1.0 ppm for TPH as gasoline detection limits in soil <br /> matrices. <br /> 2. Backfill must be compacted and comply with the Uniform <br /> Building Code per San Joaquin County Building Department. <br /> Excavation wall slopes shall not exceed 1:1 or shall have <br /> lateral support to protect structural stability. Fill <br /> materials shall be clean loam or silty sand, and shall be <br /> compacted as noted above. <br /> 3 . Excavated volumes are estimated to be 300 cubic yards <br /> (8,100 cu. ft. ) . An area at least 50 ' x 200 ' shall be set <br /> aside at the southwest corner of the subject property for the <br /> proposed excavated materials. Contaminated soils stockpile <br /> must remain covered (top, all sides, and bottom) to protect <br /> against stockpiled materials leaching into adjacent soils or <br /> waters, and volatilization of contaminants into the <br /> atmosphere. Direct venting of volatile organic compounds <br /> (VOC's) from contaminated soil is subject to San Joaquin <br /> Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) <br /> regulation Rule 4651. The SJVUAPCD at 545-7000 shall be <br /> contacted before proceeding with the stockpile treatment as <br /> noted in the workplan. <br /> 4. The soil sampling for the excavation shall be a minimum of 1 <br /> per 20 feet. Minimum testing of the stockpiles shall be 2 <br /> samples per composite sample per 50 cubic yards. The proposed <br /> certified analytical laboratory shall be identified prior to <br /> commencement of work. The name, address, and telephone number <br /> shall be provided to PHS-EHD and all testing shall be done by <br /> a qualified sampler. The qualified sampler must be present on <br /> the date and time agreed upon with PHS-EHD for field work, <br /> which is to be witnessed by PHS-EHD Staff. <br /> 5. Should contamination be noted under the building, further work <br /> will be required. Excavation will not be allowed, and <br /> subsurface drilling will be required. <br /> 6. A notice of Finding will be prepared by PHS-EHD for <br /> distribution to the intermediate area of residents. <br /> 7. A written report, reviewed and signed by a Registered <br /> Professional in the State of California shall be prepared at <br /> the conclusion of the work, and shall summarize all work done. <br />
