The report was prepared by Environmental t
Resolutions,Inc. (ERI)of Novato, California, and details the result of the supplemental investigation to
further evaluate MTBE in groundwater at the subject-site.
Please note Sequoia Analytical Laboratory analyzed soil samples collected from the borings two days
passed the 14 day holding time. According to Sequoia, "although the EPA has set 14 day as the industry i
standard for the total petroleum hydrocarbon analysis, a significant loss would not occur within the 48
hours prior to analyses of the soil samples. Proper storage conditions were maintained". To add further
assurance that the results ate valid, see Sequoia's laboratory narrative. Additionally, Sequoia reported
groundwater samples from four wells contained sodium sulfate originating in the laboratory rather than
the diesel range hydrocarbons reported.
Please note this project will be transferred to Mr. Ed Ralston of Tosco Marketing Company. Mr. Ralston
can be contacted at(5 10)277-2311.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the address and phone below.
Sincerely,
Adadu Yemane
Attachment:
cc: Dave.
