(ERI), for the above referenced site.
ERI recommended "continuing quarterly depth to water gauging of on-site groundwater
monitoring well MW1 through MW7S/MW7D and off-site wells MW81, MW91, and MW101 and
reducing the water gauging frequency in wells MW8S/MW8D through MW10S/MW10D to a semi-
annual schedule (first and third quarters)". EHD does not concur with reducing the frequency of
water gauging in MW8D through MW 10D since they have the deepest screen intervals. EHD will
agree to reducing the frequency of water gauging in MW8S/MW81 through MW 10S/MW 101 to a
semi-annual schedule.
ERI recommended"reducing the sampling frequency for on-site wells MW5D/MW5S,
MW7D/MW7S, and off-site well MW8S/MW81/MW8D through MW 10s/MW 101/MW 10D to a semi-
annual schedule (first and third quarters)". EHD concurs with the reduction in sampling frequency
for MW5S, MW5D, MW7S, MW7D, MW8S, MW81, MW9S, MW91 and MW9D to semi-annual.
EHD requires that MW8D, MW10S, MW 101 and MW10D continue to be sampled every quarter.
ERI recommended reducing the sampling frequency for oxygenated compounds using EPA
Method 8260B to an annual schedule. EHD does not concur with this recommendation, samples
should continue to be analyzed for oxygenated compounds using EPA Method 8260B every
quarter. EHD directs that during the normal coarse of analysis for the constituents of concern
that all peaks identified by EPA Method 82608 be reported so that any chemicals resulting from
degradation of the MTBE can be identified.
If you have any questions contact me at (209)468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Marr aret upervisHS
9
Unit IV
c: SJCADA—Davidlrey
Environmental Resolutions—Glenn Matteucci
CVRWQCB—Marty Hartzell
