E C ® R <br /> • <br /> Based upon data collected during ongoing quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, <br /> dissolved hydrocarbons are effectively delineated both laterally and vertically in the vicinity of the <br /> site However, dissolved hydrocarbons continue to be detected in groundwater samples collected <br /> from on-site wells and are concentrated in the vicinity and downgradient of the UST cavity <br /> SENSTIVE RECEPTORS <br /> A 1996 DWR survey identified 10 wells located within the survey area These wells are located <br /> northeast to southeast of the site and are apparently utilized as cathodic protection or irrigation <br /> wells <br /> MONITORING AND SAMPLING <br /> The site has been monitored and sampled since 2"d quarter, 1996 From 1996 to 2000 the Site <br /> has been monitored/sampled quarterly In 2001, the site was monitored and sampled monthly In <br /> 2002, the site was monitored and sampled bi-monthly From 2003 to the present, the site is <br /> monitored and sampled quarterly Currently, 16 wells (MW-1 through MW-10 with Deep and <br /> Shallow Wells in MW-4 through MW-10 and one intermediate well, MW-101) are monitored and <br /> sampled during the first quarter of each year Samples are analyzed for TPHg, TPPH, BTEX, and <br /> fuel oxygenates <br /> REMEDATION STATUS <br /> The ozone infection systems consist of panel mounted KVA C-Sparge T" Systems that produce 4 <br /> grams per hour (0 009 pounds per hour) of ozone The system infects to ten sparge points in <br /> • eight wells AS1 through AS5, AS7, AS8, and AS10, and nested wells AS6S/D and AS9SID <br /> During the current quarter the system operated for only 8 hours due to an electrical problem A <br /> circuit breaker has been tripping immediately after startup An electrician has been scheduled to <br /> inspect the system and determine the cause of the problem <br /> CHARACTERIZATION STATUS <br /> Contamination in soil and groundwater has been adequately delineated <br /> RECENT SUBMITTALSICORRESPONDENCE <br /> May 4, 2004—First Quarter Remedial Summary Report <br /> THIS QUARTER ACTIVITIES (First Quarter 2004) <br /> 1 Performed quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling (TRC) <br /> 2 Prepared and submitted a quarterly summary report <br /> 3 Performed remedial system O&M <br /> NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES (Second Quarter 2004) <br /> 1 Prepare and submit a quarterly summary report <br /> 2 Perform quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling <br /> • 3 Perform remedial system O&M <br />
