USA Petroleum
PAGE 2
The information from 1987 on the domestic wells located near this
site may be outdated. A well survey shall be conducted to
identify the domestic wells in the area that may influence the
groundwater flow direction and contaminant distribution at this
site.
The data collected from the vapor tests show vapor extraction to
be a viable option for this site. Interim soil vapor extraction
can be initiated during the assessment phase to expedite
remediation at this site.
Please submit an interim soil vapor extraction remediation plan
to this office by February 25, 1993.
The soil and groundwater contaminant data collected to date for
this site do not support the contention that the contamination is
from an off-site source. Physical data which is highly
indicative of the presence of additional contaminant plumes would
need to be submitted for PHS/EHD to comment on this issue.
If you have any questions please contact Linda Turkatte, REHS, of
my staff at (209) 468-0339 .
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health Of ' c r
r
Laurie A.
