1
7.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
7.1 Conclusions
' The conclusions presented by Park are based on field observations, interpretations of analytical
test results and previous investigative reports performed by previous consulting firms The
conclusions of Park are as follows
r • All four corners at the site intersection of Farmington and
Manposa have had operating retail gasoline service stations on
them at one time or another No site assessments have been
performed at any of these other corners,
' • Soil sample analyses indicate that petroleum hydrocarbon impacted
soils were primarily h rated to the 30 foot depth in MW-3-P,
' • Soil sample analyses indicate that petroleum hydrocarbons have not
nugrated south and east of the site,
' • Groundwater was encountered in all the monitoring wells installed
by Park between 75 11 feet and 76 79 feet bgs,
• Groundwater is calculated to be flowing below the site in a
northeasterly direction,
• Chemical analyses of groundwater samples collected from the three
installed wells indicate that groundwater is only slightly impacted
' with petroleum hydrocarbon in MW-2-P and MW-3-P,
• The extent of impacted groundwater off-site has not been assessed
' in either the up gradient or down gradient directions,
• The gas chromatography (analytical chromatogram) and the BTEX
analytical results in sod and groundwater indicate the petroleum
hydrocarbons detected are significantly aged,
' • TPH vapors 1n the sort measured dunng the vapor extraction
treatability test are highest on the eastern side of the site between
40 and 70 feet bgs
B 112571 RPT 16
