Groundwater samples collected from
monitoring wells evidence minimal contamination. TPHg was evidenced at 50 parts per
billion in a water sample collected from MW4. Contaminants were not detected in the
water samples collected from the drinking water well. Contamination at the site appears
to be defined vertically and laterally. A complete Closure Report should be submitted to
PHS/EHD by July 28, 2000.
Provide in the report mass balance calculations for contaminated soil and water, data and
cross section diagrams, supporting conclusions for site closure, and all other pertinent
information as outlined in the "Appendix B, Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations
for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, No Further
Action Request".
Copies of all investigative reports for this site should also be forwarded to the Regional
Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region to the attention of Marty Hartzell.
Quarterly groundwater monitoring may be discontinued at the site until otherwise
directed by PHS/EHD. Please contact Carol Oz, Senior REHS at (209)468-3440 if you
have questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran,RENS,Director
Environmental Health Division
Carol Oz, Senior REHS Margare agorio, RENS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
cc: Matthew Taylor, Sen.
