First, I apologize for the delayed response, this is not typical for our organization. We were going through an integration of a company acquisition about the time of your audit. As we progressed trying to identify some of the items noted in your report, we had difficulties getting information from the previous owner of this facility in our efforts to handle these properly. We properly disposed, returned to vendor or consumed those items noted on your report (#102). Also, provided an analytical (SDS) for the item as requested (#601). Lastly, provided a register of trainings completed specific to chemical handling administered with Alchemy compliance courseware (#106). As part of any external audit, we reviewed our procedures to assure best practices for the scope of this audit. We made enhancements to the receipt practices of chemical products coming into our facility. We defined specific locations where chemicals may be stored on site. We also expanded our monthly chemical inventory to include receipt dating of each item, this will provide an indicator of any slow-moving item on site. Lastly, we created a Learning Plan for those roles that require training specific to chemical handling and defined frequency of refresher training. I appreciate your support as we worked through this matter. I believe we have practices in place to assure our facility to be a safe operation for our employees and as a conscientious business partner of the county.
