From Nick's description they have a lot of
waste oil and totes of acid they need to dispose of properly. They are overdue for inspection and are currently a 2221
(used oil only).
Thank you,
Garrett Backus, Ld.Sr. REHS, CUPA programs San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Ave, Stockton, CA 95205
(209)468-2986 (phone) (209)468-3433 (fax)
gbackus@sjcehd.com http://www.sjcehd.com/
This communication and any attachment may contain confidential and privileged information for the use of the
designated recipient(s) named above. I met
with David Gonzalez who is the quality compliance manager for the business. David's phone number is 209-983-9700.
Areas of concerns found during inspection are: heavy staining on the ground from fruit sludge, a 5 gallon bucket of oil
leaking on the ground in the bone yard, three full acid totes and multiple drums that have material in them are found in
the empty container area, 21 used oil drums with no labels, most of the drums did not have bungs in them, one drum
had a hole in the top of the drum, one drum had a lot of oil on top of the drum, and used paint cans thrown in a
wooden crate in the bone yard. I thought I should pass the information and photos along. Please let me know what the
next step is.
1
