One of the observed chemistry containers had a"health hazard" label. <br /> This facility is attached to the city sewer system. <br /> 2)Two open 55-gallon containers of excavated waste soil, which according to Mr. David Gonzales was generated <br /> during a spill clean up, were observed next to the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> 3)A waste wash process liquid generated during a fruit washing operation which contains Perasan OG solution <br /> (according to the provided SDS contains 40-50 % of acetic acid and 21-23% of peroxyacetic acid) is being <br /> discharged to bare soil and subsequently flows into an unlined dirt ditch located west of the site building (inside the <br /> bone yard area).This discharge has an odor and is dark brown in color. According to Mr. Gonzales the <br /> concentration of Perasan OG is 25 to 80 ppm of acid in the wash solution. <br /> No person shall discharge sewage or other waste, or the effluent of treated sewage or other waste, in any manner <br /> which will result in contamination, pollution or a nuisance (CA Health and Safety Code 5411).Furthermore, any <br /> person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous <br /> waste determination for each of the above wastes, and manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how each waste was managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No modified contingency plan. <br /> An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information is lacking. There must be at least one <br /> emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following <br /> information must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire <br /> extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the phone number of the fire department, <br /> unless the facility has a direct alarm. A form was provided that can be used for this purpose. This was corrected at <br /> the time of inspection. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 105 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No emergency coordinator. <br /> An emergency coordinator is lacking.
