To maintain an exemption from managing spent <br /> lead acid batteries as hazardous waste, a generator shall not store more than one ton of spent batteries at any one <br /> location for more than 180 days, store one ton or less of spent batteries at any one location for more than one year, or <br /> remove the electrolyte from spent batteries. Immediately comply with the storage and disposal requirements of used <br /> lead acid batteries and provide proof of correction to the EHD. This is a Class II violation. <br /> 706 CCR 66273.33.5 Failed to properly manage universal waste electronic devices, CRTs or CRT glass. <br /> One used electronic device and one used vacuum cleaner were observed inside the hanger of this facility. Universal <br /> waste electronic devices, CRTs and CRT glass shall be stored in a manner that prevents breakage and release to the <br /> environment. All broken universal waste electronic devices, CRTs, and CRT glass and releases shall be immediately <br /> cleaned and containerized. Immediately store all universal waste electronic devices, CRTs, and CRT glass in a <br /> manner that prevents breakage and release to the environment. Determine if the observed vacuum cleaner is a waste <br /> and/or if it could be recycled, provide proof of proper disposal for all observed devises to the EHD. This is a Class II <br /> violation. <br /> 712 CCR 66273.34 Failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. <br /> One used electronic device and one used vacuum cleaner were observed inside the hanger of this facility. Universal <br /> waste shall be marked with the words"Universal Waste" and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing <br /> equipment, lamps, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal <br /> wastes are labeled with the required information.
