GeofogicafTechnks Inc.
2741 River Road
i Modesto,California 95351
(209)538-6424/FaX#538-5852
REPORT
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
SOIL INVESTIGATION
E: Murray Property
7367 E. Mariposa Rd.
Stockton, California
i
Project No. 675.2
January 5, 1999
1.0 •SCOPE OF THE INVESTIGATION
On behalf of Mr. Murray, Geological Technics Inc. has performed Soil Investigation work as
outlined below on the property located at 7367 E. Mariposa Rd., Stockton, California. The
work was performed on December 14; 1998 and the boreholes were grouted on December 15,
1998.
The purpose of this work was to prepare this property for sale by addressing the
recommendations of the Phase I ESA and perform testing in the following places:
• A former UST
• Two floor drains and a rock type drain.well
• Two scars in the cement floor of the process building (Building 2)
• Domestic Well Abandonment
The scope of work was as follows: .
Former UST
1. Assessor's records indicate that there was an UST associated with Building 2. It is
reported that in the late 1970s a small diesel UST was removed from the area
approximately 20-25-feet south of the truck ramp on the southeastern potion of the
Property.
2. Rather then using hand auger equipment to install three boreholes in this area as ,
originally planned, it was decided to use the backhoe, that was onsite for the drain-
investigation,to dig a trench across the area where the tank was reported to have been.
3. Prior to digging it was noted that there was a depression,in this area that could have i
resulted from the settling of excavation backfill. This was the area identified by the
property owner as the location of the former tank.
_ 4. A trench was dug diagonally across the depression to a depth of 10 feet bgs. A distinct
color change was noted at 9 feet bgs indicating native"soil.
i
