As a result of
this Phase I three areas of concern were identified that will require hand auger borings to j
address. These areas are:
• Rock type drain well.
• Two scars in the cement floor of Building 2.
• A possible former UST.
Figure 1 is a vicinity map and Figure 2 shows the approximate locations of the scars and the
Possible former UST.
Work Plan Submittal
Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) was contracted by Murray Properties to prepare a work plan,
obtain a boring permit and investigate these areas of concern. The proposed work is
described in this document. A boring permit application is attached.
2.0 PROPOSED INVESTIGATION
It is proposed that a total of five soil borings be installed, two in the scared floor and three in
the possible former UST location. Samples will be collected continuously for geological and
chemical analytical evaluation as discussed below. Hand auger equipment will be washed in
an Alconox solution between boreholes.
2.1 Soil Boring Installation
Rock Drain Well
The rock well will be located and uncovered. One hole will be cored through the center to
determine if contamination exists. A sample will be collected as described below and will be
submitted to the laboratory for analysis. Hand digging and auger drilling methods will be
used to explore this area to a depth no greater then 10 feet bgs. The boreholes will be logged
I `
