WKA No 2938 03 <br /> May 28, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Xylenes (BTEX) using EPA method 602 A clean "travel blank" of distilled water was <br /> transported along with the water samples for the purposes of detecting cross-contamination from <br /> field activities All water removed during purging operations was placed in sealed, labeled 55 <br /> gallon drums and stored on-site <br /> Results of laboratory analysis of the water sample obtained from MW 1 revealed detectable <br /> concentrations of TPH as gasoline (497 parts per billion(µg11), benzene (7 7 gg/l), toluene (2 3 <br /> ggll), ethylbenzene (7 7 gg/l), and total xylenes (2 9 µg11) Analytical results of laboratory <br /> analysis of the water sample obtained from MW2 revealed detectable concentrations of TPH as <br /> gasoline (67 µg11) and benzene (1 1 µg/l) Total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel and motor oil <br /> were not detected in water samples obtained from MW 1 and MW2 Analysis of water samples <br /> obtained from MW3 revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH as gasoline, diesel , motor oil, <br /> or BTEX at or above the reported laboratory method detection limits Sample analytical results <br /> are summanzed in Table 2 Complete laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documentation are <br /> appended <br /> Steve Sasson of San Joaquin County Public Health Services has requested us to continue to <br /> perform quarterly morutonng and sampling at the site for at least two more quarters in order to <br /> deterrmine if additional investigative work is necessary at the site <br /> Please call if you have any questions regarding this report <br /> Wallace ■ Kuhl & Associates, Inc <br /> Matthew ArTaylor Enc Hubbard <br /> Senior Staff Engineer Registered Geologist #4807 <br /> Copies to Mr Steve Sasson, San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Mr John Furman, U S Rentals <br /> .
