1444 MARIPOSA ROAD <br /> WKA No 2307 04 <br /> July 15, 1994 <br /> Page 2 <br /> The submersible pump was cleaned prior to purging each well with a solution of trisodium <br /> phosphate and water to minimize the potential for cross-contamination All water removed <br /> during sampling and purging operations was placed in sealed and labeled 55-gallon drums and <br /> stored on site <br /> No free product was observed in monitoring wells MWI through MW3 However, a petroleum <br /> odor was reported in MW2 Analytical results for water sample MW1 revealed a benzene and <br /> total xylenes concentration of 790 ug/1 and 45 ug/f, respectively, TPH as gasoline was not <br /> detected Analytical results of MW2 revealed a TPH as gasoline concentration of 22,000 ug/f <br /> Analytical results for sample MW3 revealed a benzene concentration of 31 ug/t, TPH as gasoline <br /> was not detected Analytical results of the travel blank revealed trace concentrations of total <br /> xylenes, which may have resulted from laboratory error <br /> Based on the above laboratory results, each of the three wells revealed significantly increased <br /> benzene concentrations In addition, monitoring well MW1 revealed significant increases to <br /> xylene and monitoring well MW2 revealed significant increases in both xylene and gasoline <br /> Analytical results for ground water samples obtained from the three on-site monitoring wells are <br /> summarized in Table 2 Complete laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documentation are <br /> attached <br /> The fourth quarter of ground water sampling is scheduled for July, 1994 A summary of our <br /> findings will be transmuted upon completion of laboratory testing Please call if you have any <br /> questions regarding this report <br /> Wallace ■ Kuhl & Associates, Inc <br /> * V'."
