WALLACE - KUHL PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION AND EVALUATION REPORT <br /> &ASSOCIATES INC <br /> 1444 MARIPOSA ROAD <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WKA No 2307 02 <br /> December 15, 1993 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> ' In accordance with our Workplan Addendum of August 26, 1993, we have <br /> completed Installation of three ground water monitoring wells at the above- <br /> referenced site (Plate 1) The purpose of this phase of our work was to <br /> �t evaluate the ground water for petroleum hydrocarbon contamination related to <br /> the operation of the former underground storage tanks (USTs) in accordance <br /> ' with the requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (PHS) <br /> X111 11 and. the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board 'The scope of <br /> w}' our work included drilling and sampling three ground water monitoring wells <br /> in the vicinity of the former tanks <br /> l I <br /> \J <br /> Georechrucal Engmeinng <br /> w <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> t Engineering Geology <br /> ' - Environmental Consulting On October 29 and November 2, 1992 our firm observed the excavation of <br /> approximately 1500 cubic yards of soil from the vicinity of the former <br /> RemedlattonSenices <br /> underground storage tanks Ten soil samples were obtained from the sidewalls <br /> ' Constn,cuon lnspection and bottom of the excavation Laboratory test results for the sidewall <br /> r4 <br /> ' <br /> Materials Testing <br /> samples, obtained from a depth of approximately 22 feet, revealed non- <br /> detectable concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline, <br /> diesel, and motor oil and non-detectable concentrations of Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Ethylbenzene, and Total Xylenes (BTEX) Results for the bottom samples, <br /> r! 3050 Industrial BIN obtained from depths of 27 to 30 feet, revealed TPH as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> j West Sacramento concentrations ranging from non-detectable to 25,000 mglkg Based on these <br /> CA 95691 results, the excavation was deepened to approximately 36 feet below grade on <br /> I <br /> Fax 916 372 2565 <br /> 916 372 1434 <br /> Recycled=aper <br />
