The site <br /> fnnrmerly contained a U S. Rentals facility that operated four underground fuel <br /> storage tanks(USTs);the four USTs were removed in Yuly 1992 by SEMCO, <br /> which time petroleum hydrocarbon contamination, primarily gasollne, was <br /> scavered in the soils In the vicinity of the former tanks. The site is <br /> currently 'vacant. <br /> A discussion of previous site vmrk performed by our firm can be found in our <br /> August 1993 Workplan.Addendum for Ground Water Invw gation on file with <br /> Sari Joaquin County Public Health Services Department (PHSD). <br /> I?Ro]pOS1ED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> i <br /> 'ne purpose of our next phase of work will be to Install an experimentil vapor <br /> extraction device at the bottom of the existing excavation. The device will <br /> consist of approxunately 240 feet of perforated PVC arranged in a horizontal <br /> grid pattem along the bottom of the excavation The perforated PVC will be <br /> connected to a vertical section of solid PVC. pipe which will extend from the <br /> base of the excavation to approximately two feet below surface grade.
