(AGE) has prepared this report documenting the
removal of two underground storage tank (UST) and petroleum product piping at 2431
East Mariposa Road, Stockton, California (site). A plan of-the-site is illustrated in Figure
1 and a plan of the UST system is illustrated in Figure 2.
1.0. INTRODUCTION
AGE observed evidence of a former fueling area with two dispenser islands surrounded
by a concrete pad. On the northwest corner of the property were the apparent UST fill
pipes. The pipe was covered by a six-inch concrete.
2.0. UST REMOVAL
On 11 March 2014, representatives of AGE and L&B Environmental uncovered and
exposed the USTs identified; excavation and exploration was performed using an
excavation equipped with a 36-inch bucket.
The USTs were completely uncovered and exposed and soil was excavated from all
sides of the tank and stockpiled on-site. The tanks were approximately three feet below
surface grade (bsg).
On 11 March 2014, the exposed USTs were inspected and no fuel was observed in the
UST. The fuel was removed from the tank by pumping with a pneumatic pump
recovered by a fuel vendor.
837 Shaw Road • Stockton,CA 95215
Telephone(209)467-1006•Fax(209)467-1118
