Box 2009 A
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: BJJ Company, Inc. , 2431 East Mariposa Road, Stockton
As discussed during our meeting on November 27, 1990, the
following is an addendum to the "Underground Fuel Tank
Abandonment Contamination Assessment Report" dated July 30, 1990,
for the above-referenced "site. In addition to the three soil
borings proposed in the report, one groundwater monitoring well
will also be installed in the regional downgradient direction of
the tank system. The proposed location is shown on the attached
figure.
To assess the contribution of the existing underground tank to
soil and groundwater contamination at the site, WaterWork
proposes to drill, log, and sample one soil boring which will be
completed as a groundwater monitoring well.
Work will commence on the site within 30 days of receiving
workplan approval. We anticipate it will take one to two days
for soil boring and well installation and one day for groundwater
well development and sampling. Drilling will be scheduled upon
approval of the workplan. The County of San Joaquin will be
notified at least 48 hours in advance of site work.
One eight-inch soil boring will be drilled and completed as a two
inch diameter groundwater monitoring well. All procedures and
protocol for groundwater monitoring well construction will
conform to the standards recommended by San Joaquin County and
the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) .
The well will be completed to a depth of approximately 60 to 70
feet below grade. Well completion depth will be based on
placement of the screened interval five feet above and fifteen
feet below the static water table. However, if a stratum of five
continuous feet of relatively impermeable material is encountered
below the zone of saturation, the well will be terminated without
1710 MAIN STREET • ESCALON,CA 95320 • (209)838-3507
2350-A WALSH AVENUE .
