tc <br /> BMTH <br /> ENUIRONMENTALTEGHNOLOGlESCORPORATION <br /> 46 <br /> April 9, 1997 <br /> 94-304 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject First Quarter Monitoring Report for BJJ Company, Inc 2431 East Mariposa Rd , <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Mr Knoll <br /> �l Smith Technology Corporation has prepai ed this letter report to present the results of first quarter <br /> 1997 monitoring and sampling activities at the above referenced site shown on Figure 1 <br /> On February 25, 1997, Smith Technology, on behalf of BJJ Company, Inc conducted <br /> groundwater monitoring of monitoi ing wells MW I and MW2 in addition to the site facility well <br /> (FW) The water levels in wells MW I and MW2 have increased an average of 6 67 feet since last <br /> measured on September 18, 1995 The water level in the facility well has risen 2 89 feet since <br /> monitored in September 18, 1995 This is the highest recorded water elevation at the site since <br /> the monitoring program was initiated in January 1991 The well locations are shown on Figure 2 <br /> Subsequent to purging, water samples were collected from wells MW 1 and MW2 for analysis of <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHg) by EPA methods 8020 and 8015, respectively Analysis was conducted by Argon Mobil <br /> Laboratory, certificate 91873, located in Ceres, California Laboratory data indicates the samples <br /> collected from wells MW 1 or MW2 contained no detectable concentrations of BTEX or TPHg <br /> These data are consistent with the previous seven quarterly sampling rounds, beginning January 6, <br /> 1994 Analytical results are summarized Table 2 Monitoring data and purge logs are contained <br /> in Attachment 1 Laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are contained in <br /> Attachment 2 <br /> w\943041quarttrlylIst qtr doc 1 <br /> 1260 Graphics Drive Modesto,CA 95351-1502 (209)579-2221 Fax(209)579-2225 <br /> Engineering • Consulting Remediation Construction <br />
