Box 2009 EIWI ME PERMIT/SERVICES Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> ATTENTION: Harlin Knoll <br /> SUBJECT: Addendum to Overexcavation and <br /> Soil Boring Work Plan. <br /> Collegeville Market and Cafe <br /> 13521 East Mariposa Rtoad <br /> Stockton, CA 95215 <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> In response to your verbal request for additional work at the <br /> above referenced site, the following Addendum to Tank Protect <br /> Engineerings ' (TPE) Work Plan entitled "Overexcavation of <br /> Contaminated Soil and Drilling and Sampling One Sail Baring" <br /> (dated March 17, 1,992) has been prepared for your approval. <br /> This Work Plan addendum has been generated to address your <br /> concerns regarding the need for obtaining additional spilt-spoon <br /> drive samples oh vadose zone soils situated beneath the western <br /> side of the Collegeville bui.iding. In order to define the extent <br /> of soil cantami-nation beneath this facility, TPE recommendeds <br /> that an angle soil boring be advanced to a termination depth of <br /> between 35 to 45 vertical feet beneath the building. TPE will <br /> address this scope of wort; by completing the following tasks: <br /> Task 1: Drill.in and So ' 1 Samplir�a <br /> The proposed soil boring will be advanced (at an angle c,- <br /> approximately <br /> rapproximately 35 degrees from vertical) , using a truce mounted <br /> auger drill rig, until the proper depth and sampling locality is <br /> reached. Relatively undisturbed soil. samples will be collected <br /> from the boring beginning at the Fill / native soil interface <br /> and continue until the boring is terminated. Samples will be <br /> collected at intervals of approximately 5 feet or less .
