j P4 HEp,10A
SITE HISTORY:
Collegeville Market is a country store and restaurant with a self- .'
service gasoline island selling regular and unleaded regular gasoline.
,.py
They have a 1000 gallon underground regular tank and a 3000 gallon
underground unleaded regular tank.
GROUNDWATER DEPTH:
Local groundwater depth in this area is 100 feet.t The amou
nt of soil ' . .
,
to be removed is estimated to be 80 cubic yards. . Sampling points,
are designated on the site drawing.
CONTRACTED LABORATORY:
Blaine Technical Services will, be contracted to take the soil samples, y
they will then be submitted to Anametrix, Inc. , a state approved
laboratory, and analyzed for BTX. Analytical data will be transmitted
to the San Joaquin Local Health District.
REHEDIAL STEPS FOR SOIL CLEAN-UP: • '
The cross hatched areas on the site drawing will be removedinitiallyr
up to one foot depth with a scoop/backhoe. The soil at one foot depth r
will then be checked with a hydrocarbon "soil sniffer" to determine
if additional soil needs to be removed. Once the sniffer indicates
sufficient soil has been removed, soil samples will be taken at desig-
nated locations and submitted for analyses. ^'I
I
Soil affected by the gasoline spill is proposed to be treated by
aeration on site since this was unleaded gasoline and not a large
quantity. On site treatment area is identified on drawing. All
affected soil areas removed will be replaced by comparable soil materials
and compacted back to original conditions.
TIME SCHEDULE:
Excavation of soil can begin within 7 days of approval. Soil sampling
results can be obtained within 3 weeks of sampling and submittal to
analytical laboratory. i
1
