Site <br /> Pear Mr. and Mrs. Ayesh: <br /> On February 7, 1991 , Uriah Inc. staff geologist Kevin McNamara <br /> and Mr. Al Williamson of AAA Tank Removal Service undertook <br /> the excavation of gasoline contaminated soils in the area shown <br /> on Figure 02, attached. . . <br /> a site formerly occupied by one 250 <br /> gallon underground fuel storage tank. The excavation process <br /> was intended to complete the definition of the extent of fuel <br /> hydrocarbon contamination in soil and concurrently effect <br /> remediation in accordance with requirements set forth by the <br /> Environmental Health Division of the County of San Joaquin <br /> Department of Public Health Services (PHS/EHE) and guidelines <br /> promulgated by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (RWQCB) . <br /> HYDROGEOLOGIC OVERVIEW <br /> The Collegeville Market and Cafe site is located within the <br /> Central Valley of California at an elevation of59tely100afeet^below <br /> sea level; with groundwater located app <br /> ground surface (bgs) . The soils encountered during excavation <br /> activities at the site consisted of sands and silts which are <br /> a Sart of the Plio-Pleistocene Victor Formation. An organic <br /> rich sandy clay was exposed at the surface with fine to medium <br /> grained sand beneath at 4.5 feet bgs. . .continuing down to 26 <br /> ---.----— _._.feet._.bgs._.(the...-maximum depth excavated) .
