Box 2009
Stockton CA 95201
CITY OF STOCKTON, POLICE FACILITY, 22 EAST MARKET STREET, STOCKTON
PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT
We have reviewed the 15 January 1990 Problem Assessment Report prepared
for this site by WaterWork. The investigation -included installation and
sampling of one ground water monitoring well in the vicinity of a leaking
underground fuel pipeline on-site.
Although no petroleum hydrocarbons were- detected in a sample from the
monitoring well , the results cannot be considered conclusive because the
maximum allowable laboratory holding time was exceeded . for the sample.
In addition, the gradient of ground water flow at the' site may be
influenced by extraction of ground water from a production well located
within the building adjacent to the -release area
At a minimum, the monitoring well and Ahe production ,well within the
building should be sampled to establish current water quality conditions.
If pollutants are detected, it may be necessary to 'conduct a more detailed
investigation to determine the gradient and the extent of impacts to water
quality.
If you have any questions, please call"me at (916) 361-5731 .
THOMAS D.
