1 <br /> Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> 3.2 Reconnaissance Groundwater Sample Analysis <br /> As presented in Table 1, reconnaissance groundwater samples collected from Soil Borings <br /> SB-8 through SB-10 were analyzed for the following <br /> ' • TPH as gasoline (TPHg) by modified EPA Method 8015 <br /> • TPH as diesel (TPHd) by modified EPA Method 8015 <br /> ' • VOCs by EPA Method 8240 <br /> ' 3 2 1 Reconnaissance Groundwater Sample Analytical Results for Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons <br /> ' As presented in Table 4, TPHg was not detected in the reconnaissance groundwater <br /> samples collected from Borings SB-8, SB-9 and SB-10, above the laboratory detection limit <br /> of 0 05 milligrams per liter (mgll) <br /> ' TPHd was not detected above the laboratory detection limit of 0 05 mg/I in the <br /> reconnaissance groundwater sample collected from Boring SB-8, which was installed along <br /> the presumed upgradient boundary (southwestern corner) of the Site However, TPHd was <br /> ' detected a concentration of 0 13 mg/I in the reconnaissance groundwater sample collected <br /> from Boring SB-9 TPHd was also detected at concentrations of 0 58 mg/I and 0 42 mg/l, <br /> respectively, in the reconnaissance groundwater sample, and duplicate sample collected <br /> from Boring SB-10 Bonngs SB-9 and SB-10 were installed at the assumed downgradient <br /> (northeast) boundary of the Site <br /> ' 3 2 2 Reconnaissance Groundwater Sample Analytical Results for VOCs <br /> VOCs were detected in the groundwater samples collected from Bonngs SB-8, SB-9, and <br /> ' SB-10, and the duplicate sample collected from Boring SB-10 Tetrachloroethene (PCE), <br /> and trichloroethene (TCE) were detected in the reconnaissance groundwater sample <br /> collected from Boring SB-9 at concentrations of 18 micrograms per liter (µg/l, or parts per <br /> billion), and 11 µg/l, respectively <br /> Chloroform, cis-1,2-dichloroethene (cis-1,2-DCE), PCE, and TCE were detected in the <br /> reconnaissance groundwater sample collected from Boring SB-9 at concentrations of <br /> ' 7 pg/l, 62 fcg/I, 140 µg/l, and 25 �Lg/I, respectively In the reconnaissance groundwater <br /> sample and duplicate sample collected from Soil Boring SB-10, PCE was the only VOC <br /> detected at concentrations of 26 µg/I and 27 µg/I, respectively <br /> ' 3 2 3 Groundwater Sam Ie Al C Analytical Results <br /> ' During the collection of the reconnaissance groundwater samples, one each of the <br /> following quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) samples were collected and submitted <br /> for the following analysis <br /> Travel blank - VOCs <br /> • Field blank- VOCs, TPHg, and TPHd <br /> • Field duplicate - VOCs, TPHg, and TPHd <br /> ' i yob%WQM70 Mphase Atext doc 7 <br />
