AlFel'ohmealINC
2.9 Investigation-Derived Wastes
Investigation-derived wastes (IDW) were stored on Site in sealed five-gallon buckets near
a pad-mounted transformer. The IDW containers were indelibly labeled with the container
contents, and date and source of accumulation. The IDW container were stored pending
analytical results and will be properly disposed.
3.0 CONCLUSIONS
The analysis of the soil samples collected during Versar's investigation conducted on
August 6, 1997, detected no concentrations of VOCs. The results of groundwater sampling west
of the former automobile sales and service business contained low concentrations of
ethylbenzene and xylene, constituents normally associated with petroleum hydrocarbons, and no
concentrations of chlorinated solvents.
4.0 REFERENCES
Versar, Inc.
