SITE CODE: 1796 <br /> 20001 McHenry Avenue <br /> Escalon, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EI D)has recentlyreviewed <br /> the analytical results of the soil samples taken from beneath the underground storage ranks that were <br /> removed from this site on April 28, 1987. <br /> PHS/EI D staff noted at the time of the tank removal that Orthovolk supreme spray oil from an above <br /> ground tank was leaking into the regular gasoline underground tank excavation. Soil sample#1 according <br /> to the laboratory analysis had 4400 parrs per million motor oil. There was no chain of custody provided for <br /> the soil samples analyzed by the laboratory. A chain of custody will confirm which excavation the <br /> contaminated soul sample was collected from. Further investigation of the extent of soul contamination at <br /> this site is warranted. <br /> PHS/EI-1D is providing you notification that an "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release <br /> (Leak)/Contaminated Site ReporC has been filed pursuant to Section 25295 of the Health and Safety Code. <br /> The appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge pursuant to Section 25180.7 of the Health and <br /> Safety Code has been made, and the site has been placed on the list of contaminated sites in San Joaquin <br /> County which is maintained by PHS/EI D. <br /> Since the contamination may be from a source other than the underground storage tanks oversight of the <br /> further investigation will be provided through the PHS/EI D Corrective Action Program.
