1.4 SOURCES OF STORMWATER POLLUTION <br /> SOURCES OF STORMWATER POLLUTION <br /> Stormwater Pollution is generated from chemicals and other <br /> pollutants that spill or leak onto exposed surfaces.It is important <br /> that SkyWest employees Identify possible sources of Stormwater <br /> Pollution at their facilities.The following is a list of examples <br /> where Stormwater Pollution could occur: <br /> •Vehicles and Ground Service Equipment(GSE)leaking oil, <br /> grease,fuel,and other automotive fluids <br /> • Improper storage of chemical containers <br /> •Aircraft deicing/anti-icing operations <br /> R •"••!'�"r Lavatory servicing operations <br /> �-..-__-_ •Aircraft and GSE fueling and maintenance <br /> •Wash water from vehicle and/or equipment cleaning <br /> •Storage of parts or equipment contaminated with oil or grease <br /> •Spraying down exterior work areas instead of sweeping up <br /> waste/debris <br /> 1.5 CLASS 1 DISCHARGE(SPILL) <br /> CLASS 1 DISCHARGE (SPILL) <br /> A Class 1 Discharge is identified by the following <br /> classlficatIons: <br /> A discharge of any extremely hazardous substance, <br /> hazardous substance or regulated toxic and flammable <br /> substance greater than 25 gallons,or any lesser quantity that <br /> has entered a drain,drainage structure,or navigable waters, f <br /> reached soil or other pervious surface. d <br /> A discharge of any extremely hazardous substance, <br /> hazardous substance or regulated toxic and flammable �{ <br /> substance that has exceeded the reportable quantity. <br /> Any discharge that results in injury,road closure and/or <br /> evacuation of an aircraft or building. <br /> A discharge of deice/anti-ice fluid in quantities exceeding 25 <br /> gallons(other than application of these fluids to an aircraft <br /> during deice/anti-ice procedures). <br /> Any discharge of effluent or lavatory sanitizing solution that <br /> has entered a drain.drainage structure or navigable waters. <br /> Published by Articulate° Storyline www.articulate.com <br />
