r <br /> 1 . 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 . 1 PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of this proposal is to: <br /> 1 ) Determine the locations of up to six (6) soil boring <br /> to be placed in the proximity of three (3) <br /> underground storage tanks containing fuels. <br /> 2) Define the sampling procedures and protocol of <br /> samples taken from the aforementioned soil borings. <br /> :1) Attempt to determine the integrity of the three (3) <br /> underground storage tanks and the supporting fuel <br /> plumbing systems. <br /> 4) Propose all required technical reports, workplans, <br /> and related project documentation necessary to <br /> satisfy all related State and County requirements. <br /> i <br /> 1 . 2. SCOPE OF WOE f(. <br /> To achieve the objectives as described in 1 . 1 above. The <br /> following scope of work: is proposed: <br /> 1 ) The drilling of no more than six (6) soil borings to <br /> be located as indicated in the site plan as <br /> presented in Figure 1. <br /> ) Utilize a state certified analytical laboratory to <br /> perform the analyses of the soil obtained from the <br /> soil borings. All sampling and testing procedures <br /> will be completed in accordance with all County, <br /> State and Federal regulations. <br /> 3) Collection of no more than three (3) soil samples <br /> for analysis per boring hole. 'The samples to be <br /> taken at five (5) foot intervals. 'The last sample <br /> to be taken approximately three (3) feet below the <br /> bottom of the storage tank. <br /> 4) Soil samples will be analyzed using EPA method <br /> 802.0 for total hydrocarbons. <br /> 5) Prepare a report summarizing all findings, listing <br /> conclusions and .recommendations for any additional <br /> work which may be necessary. <br /> 6) Develop, if necessary, an appropriate remedial <br />
