Main Street, Manteca California (Site).
BACKGROUND
We understand the Site located at 280 S. Main Street in Manteca, California (Plate 1) is
planned to be a municipal owned property. The Site is generally located on the
northeast corner of S. Main Street (west boundary) and E. Wetmore Street (southern
boundary). Its northern boundary abuts the nearby railroad line and the Tidewater bike
pathway.
Reports (by other consultants) indicate that historically the Site was developed as a
Standard Oil Company supply station containing at least one above ground oil storage
tank (AST) and a waste oil drum storage building (northwest corner of site). Currently,
this area is enclosed with chain link fencing and largely paved over with asphalt. There
are several existing structures located primarily at its perimeter areas.
112884.1/ST010R366R Page 1 of 10 October 1, 2010
Copyright 2010 Kleinfelder Revision 1, dated November 22, 2010
