MCLs have not been established for TPH or acetone,therefore,SFBRWQCB ESLs have been used for screening TPH and acetone in groundwater. The stated SFBRWQCB ESLs assume that first encountered groundwater(18 to 22 feet below grade)is an existing or potential drinking water aquifer. The first number(100 pg/L for TPH and 20,000 pg/L for acetone)indicates the Ceiling Value(taste and odor threshold).The second number(210 pg/L for TPH and 6,300 pg/L for acetone)indicates the drinking water toxicity threshold. Groundwater samples analyzed by Associated Laboratories, Inc. Analysis: TPH by EPA Method 8015B and VOCs by EPA Method 82608.
