Weber Avenue, 3`d Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Attention: Ron Rowe
' Subject: Report of Soil and Groundwater Investigation
' Clarifier Area, 15700 South McKinley Avenue
Lathrop, California
GA Project No. 110-05-01
' Ladies and Gentlemen:
' Gribi Associates is pleased to present this report on behalf of Scott Company, documenting a soil
boring investigation of the clarifier area at 15700 South McKinley Avenue in Lathrop, California.
This investigation included the drilling and sampling of eight soil borings(I13-1 through I13-8)at the
site using direct-push coring equipment. The goal of this investigation was to assess soil and
groundwater quality adjacent to the clarifier, both for planning purposes for the anticipated removal
of the clarifier and to address regulatory concerns.
With the exception of one detection of 0.00055 parts per million(ppm)of Xylenes in the IB-2 grab
groundwater sample, all soil and grab groundwater samples from this investigation contained no
detectable levels of any hydrocarbon constituents. Thus,it is clear that previously-identified soil and
groundwater impacts in previous borings B-3 and B-9 near the south side of the clarifier are limited
in extent. In addition, results of this and previous investigations clearly indicate that the past
' operation of the clarifier has not resulted in significant environmental impacts.
' We appreciate the opportunity to present this report for your review. Please contact us if you have
questions or require additional information.
' Very trul y ED GFO
QGESE. GO,
' James E.
