(ERM) has prepared this report to document soil
sampling activities and present the analytical results of the sampling at
the Del Monte Foods Company Stockton Warehouse 14 located at 2388
East Miner Avenue in Stockton, California (the "subject property"). The
site location is presented on Figure 1. This investigation was performed
as a follow-up to the findings of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Report (Kleinfelder Inc.,3 March 2006) that was prepared for the subject
C, property.
BACKGROUND
Kleinfelder, Inc. (Kleinfelder) conducted a Phase I Environmental Site
Assessment at the subject property in March 2006. Based on the
information and data obtained during the Phase I Environmental Site
Assessment, Kleinfelder identified issues of concern related to potential
off-site impacts to the subject property from adjacent and nearby
industrial facilities and a possible former on-site wastewater treatment
pond. The Kleinfelder report identified the presence of volatile organic
compounds (VOCs) in groundwater that have been documented to be
present regionally. Because the Kleinfelder report provided limited
specific information about known or actual site impacts, the ERM
investigation has been designed to evaluate potential impacts to soil on a
L site-wide basis to evaluate the site in the context of historical uses and
regional concerns.
L
