(AGE) and has the following comments.
The proposed scope of work includes advancement of three soil borings to collect soil and
ground water samples to define the lateral extent of the plume south and east of the
former underground storage tank (UST) location.
The EHD approves the proposed scope of work, and the proposed locations of the
borings that will be east of Hunter Street, but not the proposed boring location in the
middle of Miner Avenue. For safety considerations, that boring should be located on the
south side of Miner Avenue either in the parking lanes or preferable in the sidewalk.
Please proceed with submittal of a revised map showing adjusted proposed boring
locations. The map is due for submittal to the EHD no later than October 14, 2011.
If you have any questions please contact Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337, or by email at
Iduncan@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS Nuel C.
