Reid Campbell with the Public Works Department stated the following regarding <br /> pressure grouting the well instead of overdrilling the top 3 feet"The City is fine not overdriling the monitoring well <br /> as long as there is upper restoration of the asphalt." <br /> As a summary: ARCADIS conducted a private utility survey with Cruz Brothers locators today at Chevron facility <br /> 306415. During the utility locating activities a line was discovered approximately 1 foot from the U-26 well skirt. <br /> The unknown line is buried approximately 3.5 feet below ground surface. Due to the unknown line ARCADIS <br /> would like to revise the destruction methodology previously outlined within the regulatory approved work plan. <br /> ARCADIS proposes to destroy U-26 by removing the well box and pressure grouting the well in-place from the <br /> bottom of the borehole to surface grade using a tremie pipe and cement-bentonite grout. Prior to pressure <br /> grouting the well ARCADIS will overcut with a saw cutter on each side of the monitoring well, per the City of <br /> Stockton regulations.
