The objective of the pilot test
was to induce biological oxidation of petroleum hydrocarbons by sulfate reduction. Arcadis
concludes that the objective of the study was achieved, without permanent degradation of
the quality of the groundwater, and proposes to continue the injection program in the first
quarter of 2012.
The EHD agrees with the proposal by Arcadis to have a joint meeting, including the Regional
Water Quality Control Board, to discuss future remedial activities at the site.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337 or by email at
Iduncan(@sicehd.com.
Lori Duncan, REHS Nuel C.
