Work Plan for Additional Subsurface Assessment and Remedial Action—Former Unocal Station#0187 <br /> November 27,2001 <br /> Task 5. Wellhead Surveying <br /> Following installation,the elevation of the top of well casings for the newly installed monitoring well will <br /> be surveyed to mean sea level by a California licensed surveyor. Horizontal coordinates of all newly <br /> installed wells will be obtained. <br /> Task 6. Laboratory Analyses <br /> Selected soil and groundwater samples will be submitted for chemical analysis at Sequoia Analytical, a <br /> California state-certified Hazardous Material Testing Laboratory (ELAP #1210, #1271, and #1624). Soil <br /> and groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes <br /> (BTEX), and MtBE by DHS LUFT Method. In addition, the groundwater sample will be analyzed for <br /> ethanol, cert-butyl alcohol (TBA), MtBE, diisopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), and <br /> tert-amyl methyl ether(TAME) by EPA Method 8260. The drill cuttings waste disposal characterization <br /> sample will be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, and MtBE,by DHS LUFT Method, and for lead by EPA <br /> Method 6010. <br /> Task 7. Report Preparation <br /> Following receipt and analysis of all data, a report will be prepared which summarizes the procedures and <br /> findings associated with this investigation. This report will be submitted to Unocal for its use and <br /> distribution. <br /> PROJECT STAFF <br /> Mr. David W. Herzog, a Registered Geologist in the State of California (R.G. No. 7211) will provide <br /> technical oversight and review of the work. Mr. Greg Gurss, Senior Project Manager, will supervise <br /> implementation of field and office operations. GR employs a staff of geologists, engineers, and <br /> technicians who will assist with the project. <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> Implementation of the proposed scope of work will commence upon receipt of regulatory approval. <br /> 240042.11 6 <br />
