GeoStrategies <br /> • <br /> WELL INSTALLATION REPORT <br /> at <br /> Former Unocal Station No 0187 <br /> 437 East Miner Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 4827 21-2 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results associated with the installation of one groundwater <br /> monitoring well at the subject site GeoStrategies (GSI) installed the well on August 19, <br /> 1997, at the request of Unocal Corporation The work performed included drilling one <br /> off-site soil boring, constructing groundwater monitoring well U-9, collecting soil samples <br /> for possible chemical analysis, developing and sampling the newly installed well, surveying <br /> • the top of casing elevation of the newly installed well, submitting selected soil and <br /> groundwater samples for chemical analysis; and preparing a report discussing the field <br /> activities and analytical results This work was originally proposed in GSI Report No <br /> 7827.21-1, Work Plan To Install An Offsite Groundwater Monitoring Well, dated March <br /> 31, 1997 This subsurface investigation was undertaken to delineate the lateral extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater This work was performed in response to the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) letter dated March 18, 1997. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is a vacant lot situated on the northwest corner of East Miner Avenue and <br /> California Street in the City of Stockton, California, as shown on the Vicinity Map <br /> (Figure 1) The subject site is situated in an area of retail stores and hotels Topography <br /> in the site vicinity is flat-lying, at an elevation of approximately 15 feet above mean sea <br /> level (MSL). Mcleod Lake and the Stockton Deep Water Channel are situated <br /> approximately one-half mile to the west <br /> The site was an operating Unocal Service Station from 1922 until 1992 The most recent <br /> service station consisted of a three-bay service station building, three product dispenser <br /> islands (D-1 through D-3), and two gasoline and one waste oil USTs in a common <br /> excavation pit at the front of the station building The site is currently an unpaved vacant <br /> lot Pertinent features of the former service station are shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2) <br /> 482721-2 <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive, Suite 240 • Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 (916) 631-1314 - Fax (916) 631-1317 <br />
