GeoStrateg ies <br /> SOIL REMEDIATION FEASIBILITY STUDY WORK PLAN <br /> at <br /> Former Unocal Station No 0187 <br /> 437 Fast Miner Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 4827 05-1 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Unocal Corporation (Unocal), GeoStrategies (GSI) has prepared this work plan <br /> for Unocal Station No 0187 at 437 East Miner Avenue in Stockton, California Previous <br /> environmental investigations performed by GSI have identified the presence of gasoline <br /> hydrocarbons in soil beneath the southeastern corner of the site and in groundwater beneath the <br /> eastern portion of the site and off-site to the east and south <br /> The purpose of this work is to summarize the results of environmental investigations performed <br /> to date and perform a long-term vapor extraction test This work plan was prepared in response <br /> to San Joaquin County's letter mailed January 25, 1995, requesting a feasibility study work plan <br /> for soil remediation be submitted by April 30, 1996 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is a vacant lot situated on the northwest corner of East Miner Avenue and <br /> California Street in the City of Stockton, California, as shown on the Vicinity Map (Figure 1) <br /> The subject site is situated in an urban area of retail shops and hotels. Topography in the site <br /> vicinity is flat-lying, at an elevation of approximately 15 feet above mean sea level (MSL) <br /> Surface waters in the vicinity of the site consist of McLeod Lake and the Stockton Deep Water <br /> Channel, situated approximately one-half mile to the west <br /> The site was an operating Unocal service station from 1922 until 1992.
