GeoStrateg ies <br /> i <br /> WELL INSTALLATION .AND SOIL BORING REPORT <br /> at <br /> Former Unocal Station No 0187 <br /> 437 East Miner Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 4827 04-3 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report summarizes field activities performed by GeoStrategies (GSI) on July 19, 20, <br /> and 28, 1995, at the above referenced location The work performed included drilling <br /> eight soil borings and constructing five groundwater monitoring and one vapor well in six <br /> of these borings, collecting soil samples for possible chemical analysis, development and <br /> sampling of the newly installed wells, surveying of the newly installed wells, analysis of <br /> the soil and groundwater samples; and preparation of this report This work was originally <br /> proposed in GSI Report No 4827 04-1, Work Plan for Limited Subsurface Investigation, <br /> dated February 14, 1995 This subsurface investigation was undertaken to further evaluate <br /> the horizontal extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil in the vicinity of the old <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) and the lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> groundwater beneath the subject site and in the site vicinity This work was performed at <br /> Unocal's request in response to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) letter dated December 23, 199Trequesting continued on- and off-site soil and <br /> groundwater investigation <br /> The scope of work described in this report is intended to comply with the State of <br /> California Water Resources Control Board's Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFT) <br /> Manual and California Underground Storage Tank Regulations, 1994, the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, and SJCEHD <br /> guidelines <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is a vacant lot situated on the northwest corner of East Miner Avenue and <br /> California Street in the City of Stockton, California, as shown on the Vicinity Map <br /> 4827 04-3 1 <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive, Suite 240 • Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 • (916) 631-1314 • Fax (916) 631-1317 <br />
