Page 2
All soil samples will be submitted for analysis for total petroleum hydrocarbons Diesel Range Organics(TPH-
DRO), TPH gasoline range organics(TPH-GRO), volatile organic compounds via EPA Method 8260, and
polyaromatic hydrocarbons. Select samples collected near the used oil UST and oil/water separators will
also be analyzed for one or more additional analysis including polychlorinated biphenyls and total CAM 17
metals. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPH-DRO, TPH-GRO and VOCs via EPA method 8260.
Additional Quality Assurance/Quality Control(QA/QC)samples will also be collected to include submission
of a trip blank for VOCs, blind duplicate, field/equipment blank, and a matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate for
each analysis performed.
Soil vapor samples are proposed to be collected adjacent to the two fuel dispenser locations, and at one
location near the used oil UST. Soil vapor samples will be collected by drilling a small diameter hole in the
concrete pad adjacent to each dispenser and installing a soil vapor point The soil vapor sample will be
collected into summa canisters and consist of grab samples. Each sample will be analyzed for VOCs via
EPA method TO-15.
Additional waste characterization sampling will be required to dispose of the investigation derived wastes
contained in 55-gallon drums and may include reactivity, flashpoint, and pH. Additional parameters may be
required depending on the waste profile and disposal facility requirements. Costs for disposal of one 55-
gallon drum, and waste characterization analysis have been included.
At the request of the client, a rush turnaround analysis of 3-days for all samples will be requested.Additional
charges apply. The costs presented include estimated labor, subcontractor costs, and expenses.
Task 3—Report Development
Arcadis will prepare a summary report, which will include a description of field activities, figures, screening
results, laboratory reports, and a discussion of the findings with respect to the results of the laboratory data
results in comparison to screening levels and/or criteria established by the State of California. The costs
presented include estimated labor to prepare the report.
Total
ASSUMPTIONS
For purposes of this amendment, Arcadis assumes the following:
• Access to the site is provided along with use of utilities (water, electrical, restrooms).
• Limited access agreement involvement on Arcadis' behalf. If Arcadis legal is required to review
documentation,then additional costs may apply.
• Copies of detailed site utility plans, and access to current site personnel familiar with the location of
subsurface utilities/features are provided by the owner. Arcadis is not responsible for any damage or
repair to unknown or unmapped utilities.
• Work can be completed during normal business hours.
• A minimum, of 12-hours per day per person for each field day. Which includes mobilization and
demobilization. Scope assumes four total field days.
• All laboratory data will be performed on a rush-turn around basis based on the request of the client.
• One drum of drill cuttings and purge water will be generated for offsite disposal. Assumes the drum can
be temporarily stored onsite until pick-up can be scheduled.
