GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT REPORT
multiple soil borings and monitoring wells completed at the site in relation to the former
' UST Groundwater flow direction and contours for each of the four sampling events are
shown on Figure 6 through ngure 9
' 6. Provide boring logs and cross-sections to show site ldhology
The boring logs detailing subsurface condition may be found in Appendix B. In general,
silty clays and clayey silts were encountered during the multiple soil and groundwater
investigations No discolored soil was observed Groundwater was generally encountered
at depths between 16 and 24 feet bgs
7. Report the volume of excavated soil disposed off-site, or remaining on site
' No stockpiled soil remains on the site Contaminated soil was removed from the site and
properly disposed Clean soil was used as backfill in the UST excavation See UST
removal documentation included as Appendix A Soil and groundwater sample results are
' summarized in Tables 1 through 5
S. Describe the fate of any remaining monitoring and remeduition wells(destroyed,
transferred, or to remain in use).
Four small diameter monitoring wells were placed at the site for the purpose of
groundwater gradient monitoring and sample collection These wells will likely be
destroyed following regulatory closure of the case No other wells are present that are
associated with this assessment
9. Provide tabulated results of all groundwater elevations and depths to water
1 Groundwater elevations are summarized in Table 6. Details of the depths at which
groundwater was first encountered during the drilling activities are described on the Boring
Logs attached as Appendix B
' 10. Provide tabulated results of all sample analyses, including the sampling method and
detection limits Analytical results must include TPH and BTEX constituents, lead
' MtBE, EtBE, TBA, ETBE, DIPE, TAME, ethanol, methanol, ethylene dibromule, 1,2-
dichloroethane and other constituents as indicated in Table##2 above Provide any WET
or TCLP results.
1 Analytical results of soil and groundwater samples for previous and current investigations
are tabulated and summarized in Tables 1 through 4 and 7 Details of the results are
' discussed throughout the report As required selected samples were analyzed for TPH and _
BTEX constituents, lead MTBE,TBA,ETBE, DIPE, TAME,ethanol, methanol,ethylene
dibromide, 1,2-dichloroethane WET or TCLP analyses was not required because of non-
detect or low detected concentrations
' Groundwater Momtonng and sampling Report F-3 ESA/200252
Request for No Further Action December 2003
