GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> C Analyses detected only 15 pg/L of MTBE in the groundwater in monitoring well MW-3 in <br /> ' January 2002 Three subsequent sampling events did not show concentrations of MTBE in <br /> MW-3 or the other monitoring wells <br /> O There is no indication that MTBE has migrated laterally or vertically beyond the areas of <br /> detected soil impact <br /> O The geology and hydrogeology does not appear conducive to initiating the future migration <br /> of MTBE from the former UST excavation <br /> o Public groundwater sources are located at substantial distances both laterally and vertically <br /> from the former UST location and migration of MTBE detected from the site to those <br /> sources is remote <br /> G Laboratory analyses did not detect total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline,benzene, <br /> toluene,ethylbenzene, and xylenes during the UST removal activities or subsequent soil <br /> and groundwater investigations or groundwater monitoring <br /> VIII. LIMITATIONS <br /> The judgments,conclusions, and recommendations described in this report pertain to the <br /> conditions judged to be present or applicable at the site and the time the work was performed <br /> M ESA's opinions were developed in accordance with accepted geologic, hydrogeologic,and <br /> engineering practices for this time and specific site It should be understood that the findings <br /> presented in this report are based on analytical results of soil samples collected at select onsite <br /> locations These results may not reflect conditions at locations not sampled The interpretations <br /> and conclusions contained in this report represent our professional opinions Other than this, no <br /> ' warranty is implied or intended <br /> ESA has prepared this report for review by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division, Stockton, California and the California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region, Sacramento, California on behalf of the University of the <br /> Pacific, Stockton, California The exclusive use of this report is provided to the University of the <br /> Pacific, as site owner,the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division for their review <br /> and approval for closure of the site, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board for <br /> their review and approval for closure of the site, and shall be subject to terms and conditions of <br /> the contract between the University of the Pacific and ESA Any reliance on this report by other <br /> parties shall be at such parties' sole risk <br /> ' Groundwater Assessment Report 26 FSA 1200252 <br /> September 2003 <br />
