INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf the University of Pacific(UOP),Environmental Science Associates(ESA)has prepared <br /> this report to provide results of groundwater monitoring and sampling conducted at the former <br /> underground storage tank(UST)site,located at 1081 W Mendocino Avenue in Stockton, <br /> California(Figure 1) This assessment work was completed between January 2002 and April 2003 <br /> and represents the latest phase of soil and groundwater assessment associated with this UST case <br /> Soil and groundwater assessment work was initiated for this case in July 2000 In addition to <br /> providing results of the previous and current the soil and groundwater assessment,this report also <br /> provides necessary data to support a request for No Further Action <br /> Following the removal of an underground storage tank(UST) in April 2000,UOP retained ESA to <br /> complete follow-up soil and groundwater investigations to determine the extent of methyl tertiary- <br /> butyl ether(MTBE)in groundwater detected during the UST removal Conducted in 2000 and <br /> 2001,these assessments included drilling and sampling exploratory soil bonngs and obtaining <br /> shallow soil and groundwater from selected locations Details of the previous soil and groundwater <br /> investigations can be found in the following reports that were submitted to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division(SJCEHD), a brief summary of the results of the investigations <br /> follows <br /> • Site Investigation Workplan University of the Pacific, 1081 West Mendocino Avenue, <br /> June 8, 2000 <br /> • Subsu ace Soil and Groundwater Assessment Report University of the Pacific, 1081 West <br /> Mendocino Avenue, August 25,2000 <br /> • Additional Groundwater Assessment Work lap University of the Pacific, 1081 West <br /> Mendocino Avenue, November 28,2000 _" -_ -- - - r- - -- T - _ <br /> • Additional Groundwater Assessment Report, University of the Pacific, 1081 West Mendocino <br /> Avenue, March 26,2001 <br /> • Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation Workplan, University of the Pacific, 1081 West <br /> Mendocino Avenue, September 27, 2001 <br /> Groundwater Assessment Report t ESA 1200252 <br /> September 2003 <br />
